Utility Assistance Grant


The Ohio Educational Credit Union is pleased to offer a Utility Assistance Grant to help those affected by the Coronavirus outbreak.

OHecu has received $10,000 in funding through the Ohio Credit Union Foundation -- these funds will be used to provide assistance to our members in the form of a $100 grant towards the payment of the member's utilities (electric, gas or water).

Payment will be made directly to the utility provider. The applicant membership must have been open prior to January 1, 2020 and must be active (the membership had monetary activity in the prior six month) and in good standing. We will only award one $100 grant per member per household.

Please return the below completed form along with the copy of your current utility bill to The Ohio Educational Credit Union by email to grants@ohecu.com or fax to 216-621-4801. You can also turn in the form and copy of your current utility bill to any OHecu branch.

Requests for assistance must be received no later than 5:00pm on Friday July 24, 2020. Questions may be directed to grants@ohecu.com.

Requests for assistance will be considered in the order in which they are received and utility payments will be processed until all grant funds are exhausted.
