What is the purpose of a credit union?

Credit unions are non-profit and exist to help people, not to make a profit for stockholders.  A volunteer board of directors, elected by the members, governs a credit union.  With their vote, each member has an equal vote and with that can have a direct impact on the direction of the credit union.  As our Mission Statement indicates, we are committed to assisting and educating our members in establishing and enhancing their financial well-being.
